Street Directories
CLHS member David Drinkwater has digitised a run of local Street Directories from 1837-1975, mainly Annuaires, and other publishers such as Kelly’s, Edwards, Hunt and Built-Leonard. These comprise pdfs which can be browsed or searched, and will be invaluable in tracing residents, businesses and tradesmen through the years. The Directory images were sourced from private collections, CLHS’s own collection and from Cheltenham Library. The files are very large and may be slow to download.

Browsing and searching
The database comprises pdf files which can be browsed by selecting the year from the dropdown lists. They are large files so may be slow to download. The downloaded file can be searched using ‘Find in page’ (Ctrl + f in Windows or +f for Mac) in your web browser.
