Copyright issues relating to material to be published on this website

In all cases, material that is submitted for inclusion on the website must be cleared for copyright before submission. Proof of permission must be given in writing by the copyright owner. In the case of documents copied by photography, scanned or reproduced by any other means, where the original is held or owned by archives, museums or private individuals, even though the original may be out of copyright, written permission must be obtained. Material copied from any webpage, unless it is under the Creative Commons Licence, can only be used with permission of the copyright holder. On acceptance of material submitted for publication on the CLHS website, you will be asked to sign a statement. This will state that you are the sole author of the material and that you have been given permission to use all copyright material you have submitted to be used electronically under the Creative Commons licence on the CLHS website (see link below)
