We are pleased to announce that the 2022 edition of the Trade & Industry Chronology is now available thanks to the hard work of Jill Waller, Sally Self and Sue Rowbotham.
The Chronology consists of 105 pages, printed and partly laminated on good quality paper and is a fitting publication to mark the 40th anniversary of Cheltenham Local History Society. Our especial thanks go to Jill Waller for her major contribution to this aspect of the town’s history.
It includes: Aerospace, Brewing and Malting, Brickmaking and Quarrying, Manufacture and Industry, Market Gardening, Markets and Fairs, Pharmaceuticals, Printing and Publishing, Shops and the Leisure Industry … a comprehensive view of trade and industry in the town from pre-1066 to the present day.
