Membership of the Society is open to anyone aged 18 or over. The annual subscription is £8.50 for a single person and £12 for a couple or two people living at the same address, and the membership year runs from 1st May to 30th April. Members have access to our programme of lectures and library of local books and other resources, have the opportunity to participate in research with our volunteer group or oral history project, and receive three issues of the Newsletter each year and a copy of the annual Journal free of charge. In addition members have access to recordings of our talks which are available for a period of four weeks after the event.

To join CLHS, please click on the Join button and complete the form and send your payment. Please click here to contact Maggie or phone 01242 529860 with any membership queries.

The committee has decided that members’ subscriptions will be kept at the current level in view of the current cost of living ‘crisis’, but we will continue to keep this under review. We will continue to charge for entry to Society meetings at St Luke’s Hall to cover the cost of room hire.

NEW – we offer free membership to 18 to 25-year-olds, giving access to our publications and recordings, and the opportunity to participate in Society events. Please come to one of our meetings at St Luke’s to sign up (entrance fees apply) or click the Join button.
